Unity Skatepark is located in Dumfries, south west Scotland, and is an ideal place for Skate, BMX, Urban MTB, Inline Skate, and anyone who enjoys using a top class concrete public skatepark.
Unity Skatepark’s development is not yet 100% complete, there are still plans to build some Dirt Jumps, get some flood lights up for the winter, and some other things that have not yet been decided, and it’s an exiting time for Unity.
Unity has its own free car park, and it’s free to get onto the park too...so get down there! I’ve put some photos of the park in the photos section, check them out!
DSL - A Talented Wee Group
If you’re looking for a good local group of BMXers, look no further because we’ve got them right here. They go by the name of DSL and they travel Scotland and anywhere there are any decent events to ride, film and take photos. These guys are going up in the world fast and that’s why we defiantly recommend checking them out, just click over the DSL text on the left under Links and take a look.
The UnityPark.co.uk Project...
The UnityPark.co.uk project was most active back in 2005/07 when we used to create videos for the site, have a huge online forum and loads of info for folk riding in the town of Dumfries. Unfortunately the Unity project seems to have come to a halt in the past year and the committee that ran the skatepark have since handed the park’s management to Dumfries and Galloway council. The park is still free and there for public use but further development seems unlikely now.
Since all of this, UnityPark.co.uk was taken down by me as the council were trying to take over the site, but afterall, it was nothing more than a fan site made by the parks users so the council had nothing to do with how things are run online.
But after a struggle, the sites been put back up just to restore its online presence and promote the park as its still a great place to be.
